Safety & Emergency Procedures Instructor Core Course

A core course for SEP instructors for ground and line training, covering the standard SEP training requirements of EU-OPS, JAR, CAA and FAA. The course covers all aspects of current SEP training best practice and includes instruction and facilitation techniques.

Suitable for new and experienced instructors, the course provides the student with the skills and materials to deliver effective, best practice SEP courses for cabin crew and pilots. The training course addresses the nature of your company's operations and aircraft fleet as well as associated crew operating procedures. All aspects of possible emergency situations are addressed:

  • Aircraft - type and configuration
  • Equipment - location, preflight checks, use, operation, duration, precautions
  • SOP’s - Standard operating procedures
  • Emergency situations - Decompression, fire & smoke, pilot incapacitation, crash landing, ditching, evacuation on land, evacuation on sea, safety drills and emergency procedures
  • Survival - Hot, cold and temperate climates, jungle and sea
  • Security - Maintaining aircraft security
  • Dangerous goods - Policies regarding the carriage of restricted or dangerous goods
  • Practical sessions - lifejacket and liferaft wet drill
  • Optional Practical sessions - Fire and smoke, door operation and slide evacuation.

The five day course full instructor manuals, handouts, presentations, resources and copyright permission for reproduction and use of the materials within your airline. An optional sixth day covers practical training scenarios including fire & smoke, slide evacuation and door operations. The standard course package includes:
