Team Resource Management Instructor Course

The interactive programme will develop the delegates’ skills, knowledge and expertise in the planning, design and delivery of effective TRM and Human Factors training sessions in healthcare environments.

The TRM Instructor programme uses classroom instruction and practical exercises, including group discussions and patient safety incident reviews to analyse the influence of human factors in the healthcare environment, with consideration of the entire team and all supporting services.

Root Cause Analysis

Healthcare organisations should analyse incidents rapidly after they occur, so that immediate risks are removed for those involved in the incident. Furthermore, where appropriate, incidents should be analysed to identify root causes, and the likelihood of repetition, in order to prevent the reoccurrence of incidents in the future.

The information arising from the analysis of incidents must also enable the identification of actions required to prevent similar occurrences.
